How to Dress Your Age, But Not Really

How to Dress Your Age, But Not Really

I LOVE this look!!

Sometimes there is a style that I really love but it just isn't right for me. That doesn't mean that I can't wear it, it just means that I have to reinterpret it so I can wear it.
The essence of what I like about the look is the transparency and texture of the great tulle skirt. Given that I don't want my legs to be so exposed I added black leggings. You still see the transparency of the skirt but it's not so revealing.
I decided on a chunky wool sweater to contrast the airiness of the tulle. Since I wanted to keep the dressiness of the look, I added a pair of short boots with high-heels.
I love this two-tone tote. The colors are perfect and tie everything together.
What do you think?

There are 2 pieces I would add to finish off this look.
Normally, I love lots of jewelry, but why distract from the skirt? A simple pair of pearl earrings is enough and these are just the thing.
The reversible Paris wrap in the same colors is also a perfect addition and you can choose what color to wear the beige or the black.

Where to buy this look

By the Way . . . Is there a look you'd like help figuring out how to wear?

Staten Island Ferry A Trip to Remember
A Trip to Remember!

A couple of months after spending a wonderful week on the Caribbean island of Antigua . . .
I was on the Staten Island Ferry, heading to Manhattan. Halfway through the ride, the boat changed direction. I looked around wondering where we were going. None of the passengers seemed alarmed or to even notice the change in direction. Maybe the boat was taking a different route. After all, I'd only been on the ferry once before so I really wouldn't know.
But it sure looked as if we were headed out to sea.

When Traveling, a Museum Is Not My First Stop!

The first thing I want to do when I'm traveling is to look for where food and home goods are sold. The everyday products people buy fascinate me. They're as important as the local history. Plus, I love food and home goods!

Years ago I spent hours in a gigantic grocery store in Provence, France. I was with. . .

Eiffel Tower View 2nd Level
Paris: To See or Not to See . . .

The last time I was in Paris, my husband, Mark, suggested we go to the Eiffel Tower. He'd always wanted to go but was put off by the long lines.
Once we got close to the elevator, it felt as if we'd entered the tower's inner structure.  The beams that surrounded us shot out at different angles looking like . . .
