How to Dress Your Age, But Not Really

How to Dress Your Age, But Not Really

I LOVE this look!!

Sometimes there is a style that I really love but it just isn't right for me. That doesn't mean that I can't wear it, it just means that I have to reinterpret it so I can wear it.
The essence of what I like about the look is the transparency and texture of the great tulle skirt. Given that I don't want my legs to be so exposed I added black leggings. You still see the transparency of the skirt but it's not so revealing.
I decided on a chunky wool sweater to contrast the airiness of the tulle. Since I wanted to keep the dressiness of the look, I added a pair of short boots with high-heels.
I love this two-tone tote. The colors are perfect and tie everything together.
What do you think?

There are 2 pieces I would add to finish off this look.
Normally, I love lots of jewelry, but why distract from the skirt? A simple pair of pearl earrings is enough and these are just the thing.
The reversible Paris wrap in the same colors is also a perfect addition and you can choose what color to wear the beige or the black.

Where to buy this look

By the Way . . . Is there a look you'd like help figuring out how to wear?

Tell me about it in the comments below and I'll help you figure out how to wear it.

I checked the invitation to confirm the date, the location, the time; everything was correct—there was no one! I said, “This is ridiculous, let’s…

WHEN NO DOESN’T REALLY MEAN NO.

One of the disagreements my husband, Mark, and I have is that I do not use the word NO the same way he does. I use it as it is used in France—NON, meaning: oh really, let’s talk about that; you’re going to have to convince me.... Mark understands no to mean no you are wrong. He can say...

WHAT ARE WE WILLING TO DO FOR FREEDOM?

As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of D’ Day… Thinking about the magnitude of what occurred… I discovered that there is a huge difference between seeing movies or reading about WWII and actually being there... At the museum, I found myself in front of the Jewish star, the yellow star that every Jew had to wear. I was mesmerized and overcome by…
